July 5, 2009 - Pittsburgh Dealing Again?

Just this week, the Pittsburgh Pirates have gained headlines by trading away Eric Hinske to the Yankees for Casey Erickson and Eric Fryer, and Nyjer Morgan and Sean Burnett to Washington for Joel Hanrahan and Lastings Milledge.  But they might not be done.  The Minnesota Twins are interested in a trade involving closer Matt Capps, lefty reliever John Grabow, and/or all-star selection Freddy Sanchez.

Freddy Sanchez, batting .316, is the key to the Pittsburgh offense.  Lefty John Grabow has come out of the bullpen more than anyone else on the team, and has had a respectable season, with an ERA of 3.65.  Capps has converted 18/20 save opportunities as the team's closer.

Will there be more deals for the Pirates?  We'll have to see.
